Is this really free?
Yes. Signing in with Google and generating chart suggestions is free. You only need a paid plan if you want to schedule deliveries to Slack or email beyond what the free tier covers.
What kinds of sheets work?
Any sheet with a tabular region — a header row plus numeric or date columns. Chartcastr detects the data region automatically, even when there are notes or summary rows above the table.
What if my sheet already has a chart?
We render the existing chart for you and let you connect it. If it doesn’t have a chart yet, the AI looks at the raw data and suggests three to five reasonable visualisations.
Do I need to publish my sheet?
No. Sign in with Google and Chartcastr reads the sheets you authorize using read-only OAuth. Nothing is made public.
Is my data safe?
Yes. Google OAuth scopes are read-only and limited to spreadsheets you authorize. Tokens are managed via Clerk; you can revoke access from your Google account at any time.
