Slack Connect for Agencies: Share Live Data Charts with Clients
Reports that live where the conversation is
Most agency reports end up in a PDF, a deck, or an email thread. The client reads it (maybe), then messages you on Slack to ask about it. Now you're explaining the same thing twice.
Slack Connect changes that. You share a channel between your workspace and your client's workspace. Chartcastr drops the chart right there, with an AI summary, on whatever schedule you pick.
The client sees the numbers in the same place they already talk to you. Questions happen in-thread. Context stays attached to the data.
How it works
- Set up a Slack Connect channel with your client (e.g.,
#client-acme-reports) - Connect a data source in Chartcastr: Meta Ads, Shopify, Google Ads, or anything else
- Create a Pulse targeting that shared channel
- Set the cadence: daily at 8am, every Monday, first of the month
The chart appears in the shared channel. Both teams see it. The AI summary explains the numbers. Follow-up questions happen right there.
Why Slack Connect beats other delivery methods
Context stays together. When a chart lands in Slack, the discussion happens in-thread. No switching between email and Slack. No "see attached PDF" links that nobody clicks.
Clients feel included. There's a difference between getting a report emailed to you and seeing data show up in a shared space. It feels less like a deliverable and more like a partnership.
You look proactive. The data shows up before they ask. If spend spiked or leads dropped, they see it in real time. And they see you're already on it.
Example setup
Performance marketing agency with 5 clients:
- Each client gets a
#client-[name]-reportsSlack Connect channel - Weekly Meta Ads Pulse every Monday: spend, ROAS, CPA, conversions
- Daily Streams for ad issues and new leads
- AI summaries reference previous weeks so the story builds
Total setup time: about 10 minutes per client. Then it runs itself.
Getting started
If you're already using Slack Connect with clients, you're halfway there. Create a Pulse and point it at a shared channel. The first report lands on your next scheduled delivery.
